The elections are taking place on the 2nd May 2019. The Local Authority and Parish elections both taking place on the same day.

If you are considering standing for election for Guisborough Town Council, election nomination papers are available to download from Redcar & Cleveland Borough Council’s website, the electoral commissions website, please use the links provided below or the Town Council website. If you are unable to do this, please contact the Town Council office, giving plenty of notice, and a nomination pack can be printed for you and be collected from the Town Council office on the first floor of Sunnyfield House, 36 Westgate, Guisborough, TS14 6BA or from the Elections team at Redcar & Cleveland Community Heart in Redcar.

The Town Council has 16 seats which are represented by three wards, 4 seats on Belmont Ward, 6 Seats on Guisborough Ward and 6 Seats on Hutton Ward.

Election nomination papers MUST be hand delivered to the elections team at Redcar & Cleveland Borough Council, situated at the Redcar & Cleveland Leisure and Community Heart in Redcar, between 19th March - 3rd April 2019 during the hours of 10am - 4pm. Candidates are encouraged to deliver the nomination papers in good time as the election team will check over the papers and advise of any errors that need amending. Once the nomination papers are handed in and have been checked, a letter will be given to the candidate advising that a valid nomination has been received.
